About meI became a therapist because I believe that most of the things that cause us pain, the patterns we repeat, the ways we get stuck, the relationships that leave us feeling unseen, make a lot more sense once we understand where they come from. And once they make sense, they can change.
That belief is at the center of how I work. Therapy with me is a real conversation, not the kind where I sit silently and nod while you do all the talking. I'm warm and I care deeply about the people I work with, but I'm also honest. If I notice something, I'll name it. If something isn't working, we'll talk about it. I bring humor when it fits and directness when it helps. My clients often tell me they feel like they can be fully themselves in our sessions, and that's exactly the space I'm trying to create.
How I work
I don't take a one size fits all approach. Some sessions, we'll focus on what's happening right now: building skills to manage anxiety, working through a difficult decision, or processing something that happened that week. Other sessions, we'll go deeper, exploring how your early experiences and relationships shaped the way you see yourself, connect with others, and move through the world. I follow your lead and adjust based on what's actually helping. My approach draws from CBT, psychodynamic, and relational therapies.
Who I work with
I work with adults and young adults across California who are navigating something they can't quite figure out on their own. Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable people who hold a lot together on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck underneath. Some are going through a specific life transition: a breakup, a career change, becoming a parent, losing someone. Others have a quieter sense that something is off and they're ready to understand themselves more deeply. I have particular experience working with women's health concerns, trauma, anxiety, depression, and identity exploration.
If you're not sure whether therapy is right for you or what you'd even want to talk about, that's completely fine. Most people don't have it figured out when they reach out. That's what the first conversation is for.
Education and credentials
I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. I completed my predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the University of San Francisco Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), where I worked with college students and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, identity, relationships, and life transitions. I'm a licensed psychologist in the state of California (PSY32408).
